Three-Phase Testnet Launches Ahead of Schedule
Today Offshift launches phase one of what will be a three-phase public testnet rollout, with the launch of zkAsset contracts and ERC20-to-zkERC20 shifting on Ethereum’s Ropsten testnet.
The three-phase rollout allows for extensive public testing of some key components as we build out the protocol, and gives us an opportunity to identify and mitigate any bugs or potential pain points along the way, ensuring the protocol’s foundation is strong and streamlining development.
The three phases of the public testnet are as follows:
Phase 1: Simple 1:1 shifts between two ERC20 assets
Phase 2: Price-pegged shifts between two ERC20 assets using an oracle
Phase 3: Price-pegged shifts between an ERC20 asset and a zkERC20 asset using an oracle
With today’s launch of phase one, we also open a one-week bug bounty program. From August 30th through September 6th, 2020, any user who submits a bug or vulnerability via the Bug Bounty Form , which is verified as a bug by Offshift developers, will receive the equivalent of 50 USD in XFT Tokens.
Official Offshift Solidity Master, George, has extended a personal 1 ETH bounty as well, which the rest of the team may or may not take pleasure in seeing him have to pay.
If you’re ready to test phase one you can find instructions here . As always, thank you for your interest in the Offshift Protocol and financial privacy. Be sure to follow the official Offshift Twitter and join our community Telegram if you haven’t.
