The Offshift 0x41414141 CTF In Review

Offshift is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of cryptocurrency’s first “Capture the Flag” Event.

The event saw attendance from more than 500 teams, including many of the hacking community’s finest, all of whom competed to solve more than twenty challenges across six categories for prize money totalling over $6,000 USD — not including a generous swag giveaway.

After a full week of competition, the final results stand as follows:

First Place: bootplug — approx. $4,000*

Second Place: Super Gueser — $1,150

Third Place: Bruh — $1,150

Fourth to Tenth Place — Fresh swag giveaway, courtesy of loldefi !

*bootplug received $2,500 for its first place finish, and received an additional 1 ETH for solving a secret challenge.

A user going by the name Ironstone won the write-up competition for his work on the challenges “Eazy RSA” and “Factorize,” and was awarded $200 denominated in XFT.

The CTF event served as an excellent learning experience for beginners and experienced hackers alike, who all benefited from newfound exposure to Solidity and blockchain applications.
